It chronicles the thinking, internal debates, concrete plans and actions of the Grenadian revolutionaries as they both responded to events unfolding in the 1970's and sought to shape them. Events are narrated from personal experience by the author who, as a 20 year old, took part in the assault on the army barracks which set in motion the Grenada Revolution. Following the US-led invasion he was imprisoned for 26 years during which time he wrote this book.
