the long version

Veteran homicide Detective Connor Breegan has seen it all. Almost twenty years in the seedy underbelly of Atlanta have given him an education in the depths to which human beings can sink. No murder can shock him; no motive can surprise him. But a string of gruesome deaths at the annual fantasy convention put even his skills and experience to the test. Breegan is struggling to find a rational explanation for the murders when a 1950s pulp fiction detective appears out of nowhere and offers to assist him. She takes him to a place he never knew existed, and Breegan begins to wonder if anything will ever make sense to him again. Breegan must come to terms with this new reality while pursuing a bloodthirsty demon through the swank hotels of downtown Atlanta --Page [4] cover.
