Most knew not to cross Alex, but Rod Zellman ignored the warnings. When an attack by Rod Zellman against Alex Longmire predictably ends with Zellman's death, Alex and his friend Bud Purvis are pursued by Zellman's father and his hired guns for over 700 miles. And when the two men are finally surrounded in an old line shack, Bud is fatally wounded. But before he dies, Bud devises an escape plan for Alex. It's a long shot, but it might just work . . .
