On the run from an arranged marriage, she takes him to his home to heal, as well as hide from her father. At her urging, Morgan agrees to accompany her from Galveston to Ogallala. But what is only supposed to be a job turns into something more as he finds himself falling for the runaway bride. Their mutual desire ignites on the journey. Determined to make Carolyn his, Morgan refuses to let any man, white or Indian, get in his way.
