Awakened by a powerful dream, Donna Sutherland was moved to go in search of her great-great-great-great Cree Grandmother, Nahoway Sinclair. The story she tells of Nahoway's life, her challenging roles and labours, and bitter inner struggles is a testament to our human ability to trust, to hope, to endure, to change. Born to the windswept shores of Hudson Bay at the peak of the North American fur trade, Nahoway's story is a rare glimpse into a life and time long forgotten, but now remembered from the view of a descendant.
