If the subtitle refers to some scenes of married life, the reader will notice that they are, in reality, scenes of national life. The trajectory of the Humala-Heredia is the private history of our informal contemporary politics. But, more importantly, it is the biographical expression of the secular plots of Peruvianness. A story crossed by all kinds of abuse (including sexual abuse), human rights crimes, classism (and their stepchildren, careerism and resentment), the propensity to urban legend, discrimination, and a Lima that beats at the pace that pumps the gossip.
