"Annie Woods lives a peaceful existence in the northern woods of Minnesota until the fateful day she discovers her husband's body on a forest trail surrounding their home. Deemed natural by authorities, Annie begins to have her doubts after witnessing strange occurrences in a field adjacent to her acreage. Enlisting the aid of an elderly neighbor and friend, Irmaline, she sets out on a quest for answers. Irmaline, in turn, recruits Amos, an erstwhile baby-sitting charge, to assist. Annie, however, begins to question Amos' motives as bodies start piling up; all seemingly relating to her.
