After spending five years inside Redrock Stockade, the ontime US marshal Jackson Calveron sets out on a manhunt: travelling a gruelling 250 miles, across the border from Arizona to the New Mexico town of Las Cruces, to find the men who had him falsely accused, and convicted, of murder. But when Jack finds himself involved in the artermath of a brutal bank robbery, the death of a lone silver miner and the arrival f Fausto Salt and Copperhead Pinutra, he beings to question his cause. Lewis Berry has made a new life as town sheriff, and when his step-daughter Raphaela appears on the scene, Jack's mission is influenced by a new and more compelling sentiment. Retribution still awaits someone, but Jack has to decide who and what he is really fighting for.
