the long version

"Overloaded with gold, the saddlebags were almost too heavy for their horses and a compelling temptation for greedy eyes. Now Montana Keep and his Shoshone wife, Rain Crow, were caught in a carefully laid trap. Two men followed them. Three others were concealed in timber ahead of them, and another two lay hidden in rocks either side of the wide gully they were forced to traverse. Accompanying Montana and Rain was an untested greenhorn, and even Montana's fabled skills seemed insufficient to ensure their survival. Before long the Wyoming Mountains were echoing with the explosion of action and the death that would follow."--P[4] of cover.
