Selina was something of a beauty - and very much a firebrand. But she was not prepared for the violent adventure that befell her when she was shipwrecked off the Cornwall Coast. Nor was she prepared for the handsome, enigmatic young stranger, Mr. Rufford; who was her companion in this seaside drama. What little she learned of Rufford appalled her. A gambler, a fugitive husband, and heaven alone knew what else. All this was forgotten, however, when she realized they were both in danger of being caught by the deadly ruffians who preyed on shipwrecks and their survivors. If she ever got out of this alive, she would give Mr. Rufford - whoever he was.- a piece of her mind. He had something to tell her also ....
