The basic subject of the book *Fugă spre roșu/Fuggire verso il rosso* (2012), Romanian-Italian edition, is on the fringes of the idea of continuing to explore cosmic and universal themes. The poet embarks on a journey through space and time, seeking the meaning of human existence and expressing deep emotions and perceptions. The title suggests an intense and passionate «escape», symbolized by the color red, which represents transformation and vitality. Dumitru Găleșanu’s lyrical-philosophical approach intertwines universality and individuality, inviting the beauty-loving reader to contemplate the essence of human life. If in the book *Pe corzile luminii/Sulle stringhe di luce* (2011) is celebrated the dual nature of light, as a physical and spiritual phenomenon, so whether it is the photons of distant stars or by the light of inner understanding, the poems in this volume metaphorically «paint» images of everyday reality and cosmic distances, using the concept of the «gravitational lens» to explore the expansion of the universe and the «shifting» of light to red, a nod to the Doppler effect. This means, in fact, a distancing of the «whole from everything», as even the Brazilian writer Marco Lucchesi noted in one of the prefaces. This work encourages readers to reflect on what is «given» to us existentially, to seek to understand the world, to fulfill the purpose of the human being and to share the love, resonating with the beauties of life and humanity's place in the universe.
