As a child Anna Logan lived happily and securely in her grandfather's home in Kentucky. Her mother had died during childbirth, leaving Anna some beautiful remembrances, but her father---well, Grandfather refused to speak of him. And when her grandfather died, leaving Anna alone in the world, her questions about her father intensified as never before. Was he really dead? Why had her grandfather been so evasive about him? Anna adjusted to life in an orphanage as best she could, but questions still plagued her about her family, her identity. And it was in her new home in Colorado, among the colorful characters who lived and worked with her, the she found the answers to the mystery that overshadowed her life.
