Political processes that occurred include independence, the liberal reforms, the Diaz regime and the revolution, which affected the habitat, architecture, landscape and the lives of its inhabitants. This book seeks to analyze the main problems of the Mexican capital during this period: the impact of Independence, the environmental changes of the Basin of Mexico, falling water tables, the construction of public works and water supply and drainage, replacement channels of communication in other ways, the consequences of urbanization, among others. It is a general history of the city with maps and pictures.
