Looking for a fresh start, Lisa trades her grunt job in New York publishing for a spot in the editorial department of the highly conservative Boorman Pharmaceuticals. To amuse herself, Lisa begins writing - on company time - a novel that pokes fun at corporate life. Enter her main character - Mr. Eben Strauss, vice president for new product development. A careful man. A man of old-fashioned manners. A man who logically should steer clear of a young woman with a smart mouth, a crazy family, and a wild past. Of course, logic and love rarely go hand in hand. It's bad enough that Lisa and Strauss have to keep their ensuing affair a secret from everyone at work. But what happens when they keep secrets from each other - and tell lies to themselves?
