When a parka-clad angel materialized out of the dizzying snowstorm, Burnett-Clinton, long accustomed to champagne, discovered a powerful thirst for the milk of human kindness. Instinctively sensing that angelic Frannie Lawry would sooner boot Burnett's butt than rescue it, he impulsively cast aside his monied mantle and assumed the milder manner of "Ned St. Charles"--a man this angel would willingly warm by her heavenly fire.... The heat soon proved too much for the iceman to take! Trouble was, he'd lied through his chattering teeth, and Frannie fell in love with vulnerable, sensitive "Ned"! And once "Ned" had tasted "-- Frannie's sweet abandon, Burnett had to have more ... which meant living a lie!
