Karen's Accident

It is the end of Winter Break in Mrs. Coleman's class. Mrs. Coleman's class is writing a letter to someone they admire. Karen decides to write a letter to Irina Kozlova. Everyone was sent home early while writing their letters because of icy roads. So Mrs. Coleman tells the kids to finish the letter at home. While Karen was at the little house, and just finishing her letter, she wanted to pretend she was Irina Kozlova. So she asks her mom if she could get a magic wand from the tree house. Mom says no, due to the weather. But Karen goes up anyways. While coming down, Karen slips and falls from the tree house. So Karen is taken to the hospital right away. Karen ruptures her spleen. So she needs immediate surgery due to the rupture. After the fall, Karen is fearful of everything. She is afraid of everything, even the bus stop!
