This a REFERENCE book NOT a textbook ! It is an all-encompassing CLASSIC "bible" for organic chemists. Topics include: molecular orbitals, chirality, functional group interconversions and mostly THE CHEMISTRY OF CARBON (i.e. organic chemistry). Discusses reactions which establish new CARBON TO CARBON bonds, and- to a lesser extent - chemistry at carbon where the reaction involves non-carbon (i.e. "hetero-atoms) atoms. Discusses the various valences of carbon from "digonal" such as acetylene. "trigonal" such as ethylene, and (the most "important") TETRAHEDRAL such as methane. This one of the "go -to" and "must have" reference texts that every organic chemist has at their ready.
