He was then sold and was brought to America by a man who named him Venture, and lived as a slave until he was in his forties. Managing to earn enough to purchase his freedom, he also purchased his wife, his children and several other adult males. He lived his life in New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Includes various experiences while in Africa, and as both a slave and a free man in the U.S.
