the long version
This is an 1878 copy of the Protestant, British Missionary Bible written in the Tahitian ("Maori") language as it was spoken in the 1800s. This 1878 version was reprinted in 1884 in London and again in 1960 by the British & Foreign Bible Society. The title "Te Biblia Mo'a Ra" means "Holy Bible" and the subtitle "Te Parau a Te Atua" means "The Word of God." It is still used in protestant churches in French Polynesia. ( The title of "Te Bibilia Mop(sa Ra" is a typo as the title page says "Te Bilblia Mo'a Ra").
