the long version
Amid the fever of enthusiasm for the first propulsion cars at the beginning of the 20th century, two Spanish journalists, Carlos Crouselles and Javier Bueno, decided to embark together, "without any hurry", on a trip to Paris mounted on a donkey, as a sign of protest against modernity--at least the misuse of technological progress--where the presence of a growing number of vehicles began to cause serious inconveniences (increase in acoustic and environmental pollution, road congestion, an increasing number of accidents ...).
