There is something in this book that may be lost on the regular reader that is perhaps far more significant than the author's content. On the last page he acknowledges the work of the printer's daughter Caroline (Fowler), "...A preface is given to most books to inform the reader what to expect. A concluding paragraph is seldom thought necessary. In this book there are many faults. All such as are in the printing, I hope will be overlooked, under the consideration that the greatest part of the book was composed by a child not more than eight and half old, Caroline Fowler, a daughter of the printer."
