Heading Toward Omega, Kenneth Ring’s most influential book, was the first to examine in detail the aftereffects of the near-death experiences, which represents a key to their meaning. In this three-year intensive study of near-death survivors, Dr. Ring showed that near-death experiences tend to lead to a total transformation of a person’s attitudes, beliefs and values and are often catalysts for spiritual awakening.
