The book narrates the Program of Conscientization through Theater that Fray Paolo Maria Diosdado Casurao y Granados espoused through the years, especially as a tool and method of resistance against the Martial Law regime of Ferdinand Marcos, from the 70's up to present time. It contains 13 plays essaying the U. S. War of Attrition versus the people of his island, Samar, where 50,000 men, women, and children where killed; the plight of the urban poor, cultural heritage, and the current Diaspora.
