"Distant Shores: The Odyssey of Rockwell Kent accompanies a traveling exhibition of Kent's wilderness artwork, organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. This handsome volume features 80 paintings, prints, and drawings - more than 50 in full color - related to Kent's sojourns in the wilderness. Included in this collection are several paintings from the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg that have not been seen by audiences outside of Russia in more than 40 years.
