Alas, she had been misinformed; the salary was just average and she would be working in Wales, in Rhy's house. Nevertheless she decided to stick to the job—which gave her plenty of opportunity to become aware of Rhys as a man as well as an employer, and inevitably, she realised she had fallen in love with him. But his widowed sister-in-law Nerys made it very plain that she had the prior claim on Rhys.
