Uncle Shelby's Circus chronicles the day to day life of an American G.I. as recalled many years after war at the urging, and with the encouragement of, family members. This war story, unlike so many others, does not get into the political arena or deal with the battlefield trauma as so many others before. Even in a war zone, this "Circus" was found to be amusing to the soldiers of A Company, 62nd Engineer Battalion, and the story highlights how the American soldier can, and does, make the best of the bad situations. -Amazon
