The Cone sisters, sisters of Moses Cone, a wealthy cotton mills owner in North Carolina, began visiting Pablo Picasso in 1906. From that visit, the two ladies began a collection of modern art including Cezanne, Modigliani, Rouault, Vuillard, Bonnard, Chagall, Braque, Degas, Mary Cassatt, Gauguin, and Van Gogh. Their collection is now housed in Baltimore, Maryland.
