Dare Wright

Dare Wright was a Canadian–American children's author, model, and photographer best known for her children's book, *The Lonely Doll*. Using photographs of her own childhood doll Edith, Wright created ten volumes of Edith's adventures with the Bears between 1957 and 1981. Her *Look At A...* series turns her camera toward the life cycles of various animals from birth to adulthood.
