Philip James Bailey

Philip James Bailey was an English poet. Bailey was well-known exclusively for his work, one voluminous poem *Festus*. And he was often regarded as the father of the 'spasmodic' school of poetry. The original version of *Festus* was printed by W. H. Jones in Manchester and published anonymously by William Pickering in London 1839.
