Balkrishna Martand Dabhade

Balkrishna Martand Dabhade,born in Aundh, Dist Satara. His faather was kirtanlaar. Balkrishna himself was teacher in school, tought Marathi. He was a good dancer, musician. In 1935, h wrote " Bharatiya CHtrakala" which was twice reprinted and still is standard book for students of Indian Art. Initially he wrote poems, drama, later he shifted to Gwalior to work with Scindias. In 1945 worked with Archeologist and Director General Mortimer Wheeler at HArappa.
