E. David Cronon

Edmund David Cronon was an influential and revered former dean of the College of Letters and Sciences and history professor for more than four decades at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Cronon served on the Board of Curators for the Wisconsin State Historical Society from 1964-90, and served as its president from 1970-73.
