James Roderick Burns

James Roderick Burns was born in Stockton-on-Tees (northeast England) in 1972. Educated at Balliol College, Oxford, he completed a PhD at the State University of New York in 1999 before returning to the United Kingdom. In 2008 he graduated with distinction from the Creative Writing programme at Oxford University. He currently lives in Edinburgh with his wife and daughter.
