Ellen Henrietta Richards

An industrial and environmental chemist in the United States during the 19th century. Her pioneering work in sanitary engineering, and experimental research in domestic science, laid a foundation for the new science of home economics (<a href=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellen_Swallow_Richards>Wikipedia</a>).
