William R. Scott

William R. Scott was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. He attended Carleton University, then worked for an accounting firm where he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1956. He worked as accountant and later treasurer for an Ottawa construction company while also teaching part-time at Carleton. He joined the faculty of Carleton full-time in 1961.
