Charles Oliver Davis

Interpreter, writer, land purchase agent. Māori name was Hare Rewiti. Came to Hokianga, New Zealand with his sister, Ann brother-in-law Captain W Young, and brother Edward in 1830. He acted initially as a tutor to the children of the Wesleyan missionaries. Later he moved to Auckland.-Alexander Turnbull Library
