William Snow Miller

physician, professor, lung anatomist, b. Sterling, Mass. He graduated from Yale Univ. (M.D., 1879) and practiced medicine in the East until 1887 when he left his position in Southbury, Conn., to enter the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. There he undertook special studies in pathology and histology, and began a lifetime interest and study of lung structure and anatomy.
