Joined the Army in 1885 as Pte, (3rd Dragoon Guards) & retired (1920) Major, Indian Army Supply & Transport Corps. M.I.D.four times.Tibet(1904), Mespot (1916&17), Persia (1920). Still on retired officers list 1928 aged 68.
