Robert B. Kane, Ph.D., born in Oak Park, Illinois, was Chairman of Mathematics and Science Education and Professor of Mathematics and Education at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana; previously a mathematics teacher with experience in the mathematics of industry.
